Terms and Conditions (T&C) for The Scenic Route MCR.

Welcome to thescenicroutemcr.co.uk (the "Site"), owned and operated by The Scenic Route MCR ("I,"  "me," or "my"). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Site, the content provided, and the services offered. By accessing or using any part of the Site, including viewing the Portfolio, reading the Blog, commenting, submitting inquiries, or purchasing products, you agree to be bound by these T&C. If you do not agree to all the terms, you must not access or use the Site.

 

1. Intellectual Property Rights (Copyright)

 

A. Ownership of Content

All content on this Site, including all photographs displayed in the Portfolio, the text in the Blog and About Me sections, graphics, logos, and overall design (collectively, the "Content"), is the exclusive property of The Scenic Route MCR and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

 

B. Prohibited Use

You may not copy, reproduce, download, distribute, display, transmit, modify, license, or create derivative works from any Content on the Site without my explicit prior written consent. This includes, but is not limited to, downloading or "right-clicking" photographs for commercial use, printing, or sharing on third-party sites without proper credit and licensing.

 

C. Permitted Use

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive right to view and print individual pages from the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use only, provided you keep all copyright and proprietary notices intact.

 

2. Service Inquiries and Bookings

 

A. Non-Binding Inquiries

The Contact/Booking form is used only to request information about services. Submitting a form does not guarantee a booking or constitute a contract for services.

 

B. Formal Agreement

All photography services (e.g., weddings, portraits, commercial work) require a separate, formal Service Agreement or Contract signed by both parties. The terms within that separate contract will supersede any general terms listed here regarding service delivery, payment, cancellation, and image usage.

 

C. Quotations

Any price quotations or estimates provided on the Site or via the contact form are non-binding and subject to change until a formal contract is executed.

 

3. Online Shop, Orders and Pre-Orders

 

A. Direct Purchases & Payments: All product orders are placed and processed directly on this Site. Full payment is taken at checkout via secure third-party payment gateways (including debit/credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay). Orders are only confirmed once payment is successfully processed.

B. Pre-Order Items: Items listed as pre-orders require payment upfront. Estimated dispatch dates (such as shipping from 4th September) are provided on the product page. While I make every effort to dispatch pre-orders on schedule, unforeseen production or supplier delays may occasionally occur.

C. Cancellations, Returns & Refunds: In accordance with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have 14 days from the date of receiving your physical goods to request a cancellation or return. Returned items must be unused and in their original condition. Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item arrives damaged or defective.

D. Product Descriptions & Handmade Disclaimers: I aim to display product colours and designs as accurately as possible. However, slight variations in colour or print texture may occur due to screen settings or the nature of small-batch printing.

E. Product Care & Natural Shrinkage (Canvas & Textiles):

Care Instructions: Printed 100% cotton canvas items (such as tote bags) are recommended for spot cleaning only using a damp cloth.

 Washing Disclaimer: If you choose to machine wash or submerge canvas items, please note that natural 100% cotton fibers are inherently prone to shrinkage (typically 5–10%). Machine washing is done at the customer's own risk, and normal fiber shrinkage or washing wear does not constitute a product defect or ground for a refund.

 

4. Blog and User-Generated Content

 

A. Blog Content Disclaimer

The content posted in the Blog section is for general informational and entertainment purposes only. It does not constitute professional advice. I make no guarantee as to the accuracy or completeness of any information on this blog.

 

B. Comments and Testimonials

 

By submitting Blog Comments or Testimonials, you agree that:

1. The content is original, accurate, and does not violate any third party's rights (including copyright, privacy, and publicity rights).

2. You grant me a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, and display your submitted content (including your name) on the Site and in related marketing materials.
